The company says tourism in Saudi Arabia is a relatively new phenomenon, with the kingdom closed to traditional tourism until 2019.
Plans for Undiscovered Destinations to run tours in the country later had to be put on hold when the global pandemic hit.
With travel restrictions easing and vaccination rates rising, the company has now launched a number of dates for its small-group discovery tour of Saudi Arabia.
Jim Louth, Owner and Managing Director, said: “Undiscover Destinations already operates tours to Algeria, Sudan and Bangladesh as well as Oman, Jordan and Lebanon in the Middle East, so Saudi Arabia is a top choice. natural for our company.
“We had hoped to start offering tours to the kingdom in early 2020, but the onset of the pandemic meant the launch had to wait.
“With Newcastle United taking over, we hope to see a lot of Toon Army interested in this tour. Saudi Arabia is truly a fascinating destination to explore.
“From the natural beauty of its deserts and rock formations to the Nabataean site of Mada’in Saleh, which is a sister city to Petra in Jordan, there is so much to discover.
“The only disappointment maybe the country is dry so a pint after the tour will have to wait until we get home.”
Undiscover Destinations was formed by Mr. Louth in 2004 and now operates in over 60 countries. The company specializes in small group tours with a maximum of 12 people.
The Discover Saudi Arabia Small Group Tour is available from £3,975 pp, based on two people travelling, excluding international flights.
