NEPALGUNJ, November 3: Tourism entrepreneurs from three provinces have decided to work together and introduce tour packages for tourism promotion.
The Nepal Travel and Travel Agencies Association (NATTA), Banke Chapter, made the announcement after conducting a four-day training course on “Tourism Product Development and Ticketing”. The training is organized in collaboration with the NATTA Center and the Livelihood Recovery Project for Sustainable Tourism.
NATTA Central Secretary Yuvika Bhandari said the training will be fruitful in preparing skilled human resources in the field of tourism as the shortage of skilled human resources in the field of tourism has increased after the COVID-19 pandemic. . She said such training has been initiated in different places across the country as part of the Nepal Tourism Board’s plan to address the shortage of human resources in the tourism sector.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor of Birgunj Prashant Bista said that tourism can become a solid and permanent base for the country’s economy. He expressed his confidence that there will be uniformity in the tour package developed by tourism entrepreneurs from the three provinces after the training.
NATTA Banke Chapter President Ram Sigdel mentioned that the training held for the first time in Western Nepal will enable tourism businessmen to create travel packages by identifying the destination to manage the necessary tickets for tourists traveling to destinations around the world.
A total of 30 tour operators and tour operators from the provinces of Lumbini, Kanrali and Sudurpaschim are participating in the training.
