Over the course of his 30+ year career, Tom Morello has established himself as one of rock’s most acclaimed and revered musicians, both as guitarist for Rage Against the Machine and as a solo artist. But that didn’t stop a famous tour guide from insisting that the rock icon was part of the cast of jerseyshore.
Morello told the story himself via Twitter, reporting, “I was hiking today when one of those ‘Hollywood Tours of the Stars Homes’ vans arrived. The driver says into the megaphone “Hey, I recognize you somewhere!” Are you one of those jerseyshore guys??’ I answer: “Absolutely”. And everyone in the van took a picture.
The veteran rocker was certainly a good player about the trade, but the big question remains: what jerseyshore the guy the driver confused him with? Could it be DJ Pauly D? Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino? Vinny Guadagnino? Or Ronnie Ortiz-Magro? We’ll rule out Ronnie, due to his stockier build, but the other three are in play, especially if Morello was wearing his typical baseball cap with a pair of sunglasses.
When not mistaken for an MTV reality TV celebrity, Morello is busy releasing new solo albums (including two in the last year) and preparing for Rage Against’s thrice-delayed reunion tour. the Machine. The highly anticipated release is set to finally debut in
end of March summer, with tickets available through Ticketmaster.
