Japan specialistJTB Corporation’s tour operator brand says it is “overwhelmed by strong demand” as Japan gradually relaxes its border policy for tourists.

Japanspecialist’s seven stores are already seeing a strong return in bookings.

It offers bespoke tours, guided tours, self-guided tours, excursions, coach seats and luxury travel.

Japanspecialist now also offers its customers an online Japan travel consultation service which costs €25 and is refundable when the customer books.

It sells both direct to consumers and also in B2B covering the UK, Hungarian, Benelux, Italian, French, Spanish and Danish markets.

Karolina Simon, Chief Japan Specialist, said: “Despite opening many destinations to inbound tourism last year, Japan was one of the last and it has been an incredibly difficult time for us – and for travelers whose trips have been continually delayed and changed. .”

“Nevertheless, we have used this time wisely, preparing for when borders open and building a stronger portfolio than ever before.”

“Japan has always been a popular destination but we have been overwhelmed by high demand. Nearly three years of closure provide additional momentum.
