Representatives of the Italian tour operator Francorosso Explore Ireland

Representatives of Italian tour operator Francorosso along with 20 of its most successful travel agents from Milan and Rome are exploring Ireland this week. The group – who are here as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland – visit Dublin and the Irish Ancient East.

The aim of the travel agents’ visit is to familiarize them with Ireland and its tourist offer, so that when they return home they will be better informed and more enthusiastic than ever about Ireland to advise their clients on the planning and booking their vacation on the island.

The group’s itinerary includes the Powerscourt Estate, Kilkenny’s Medieval Mile Museum, Irish National Stud and Gardens, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Guinness Storehouse and Kilmainham Gaol.

Marcella Ercolini, Italy Manager for Tourism Ireland, said: “We are delighted to invite this group of Italian travel agents to explore Ireland this week. There’s really no substitute for being able to come here and experience what Ireland has to offer first hand. Our aim is that when travel agents return home, they will be even more enthusiastic about the destination, which will help secure a greater share of their business for Ireland in 2023 and beyond.

“Italy is an important market for tourism in Ireland and information tours such as this are a key part of the work Tourism Ireland undertakes with the important travel industry in Italy.”
