Pakistan earns $360m from exporting travel services in eight months

The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics revealed that the country earned $360.034 million from various travel services in different countries in the first eight months of the current financial year.

The figures from the statistics office recorded a growth of 10.05%, as it was $327.152 million in 2020-21 compared to the corresponding periods of 2020-21.

It increased from $325.802 million in July-February 2020-21 to $358.544 million in the corresponding periods.

Exports of health-related expenses increased by 92.66%. Expenditure on education decreased by 4.95%.

PBS revealed that other personal services get 10.16%. Business services business services exports increased from $1.350 million in 2020-21 to $1.490 million in 2021-22.

The country’s service exports increased by 18.17% in the first eight months of 2021-22 compared to the corresponding period last year.

Services exports increased from $3801.18 million in July-February 2020-21 to $4492.02 million for the corresponding period of this year.

As for imports, they increased by 39.20% from 5089.31 million dollars last year to 7084.40 million dollars this year during the period under review.
