Ongoing Morodok Techo Nat’l Stadium Tour Packages

Cambodia is developing a range of tourism packages at the Morodok Techo National Stadium to encourage domestic tourism and demonstrate that the Kingdom is ready to host the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in 2023.

The Ministry of Tourism said on June 23 that the packages, organized in conjunction with the stadium management department, follow a recommendation from Prime Minister Hun Sen, who said “tourism forges ties across the country.” .

Also including stops at nearby attractions such as Win-Win Monument, Phnom Penh Safari Zoo, Garden City Water Park and Golden City Gold Club, the tours aim to provide travelers with a better understanding of the tourism products of Phnom Penh. the capital and an overview of its latest achievements. .

Different options are available, focusing on areas such as sporting events, family entertainment or education.

The ministry has also prepared an easy-to-follow guide to the five-story stadium for visitors, explaining the ins and outs of the facility, including a construction schedule, an overview of its 18 main attractions as well as the procedure for building it. standard of operation, code of conduct, and other instructions, and descriptions of nearby areas of interest.

Built with a grant from China and launched last August, the stadium measures 82,400 m² and sits on a 16.22 ha plot within the 85 ha Morodok Techo National Sports Complex.

With 60,000 seats, it is capable of hosting major national and global sporting events, and can accommodate an additional 20,000 visitors outside the main facility for arts and cultural performances or other events.
