John Lennon Airport reassures fans after tour operator flights canceled

Liverpool John Lennon Airport has reassured Liverpool FC fans traveling to Paris for the Champions League final after two tour operator flights were canceled this morning.

An airport spokesperson told ECHO that the “vast majority” of flights were heading to Paris, with some subject to “minor delays”. ECHO contacted the airport after being approached by several fans who had arrived at the airport to find their 4am flight cancelled.

More than 100 LFC fans who paid around £650 through tour operator WorldChoice Sports were unable to board their flights to Paris. The airport spokesman told ECHO that WorldChoice Sports had canceled two flights and managed to replace one.
