Grab puts travel services at the user’s fingertips

Grab has launched a new Travel tile on the Grab app that offers a range of travel services to bring travelers more convenience when planning their trips.

The new feature allows Grab users to easily and securely book bus and ferry rides to cities in Malaysia and Indonesia, book airport transfers and even purchase affordable travel insurance, all of which can be easily paid through the secure, cashless GrabPay wallet.

For bus journeys, travelers will receive a QR code for boarding, while for ferry journeys, they must present their order summary and collect their boarding passes at the ferry terminal before departure.

Additionally, users can purchase travel insurance starting at S$3.90 (US$2.70) per day, which covers medical expenses and travel changes related to Covid-19.

Rides can also be booked to seven destinations across Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. For those traveling beyond Southeast Asia, trips can be pre-scheduled to over 1,000 cities around the world.

The Travel Tile also allows users to book hotels and other accommodations directly from Agoda and Booking.com, as well as view attractions and experiences from Klook.
