Amazon Pay: MakeMyTrip and Amazon Pay team up for travel services

Leading online travel company MakeMyTrip India and Amazon Pay announced a long-term partnership on Monday to offer travel services, including flight, hotel and bus reservations, to the latter’s customers. Through this partnership, MakeMyTrip will be able to further expand its distribution through Amazon Pay’s large customer base, particularly in small towns and villages, and accelerate online booking of travel services across the country, MakeMyTrip said in a statement.

“We are excited to partner with Amazon Pay … There is an accelerated digital change due to the pandemic and through this partnership we look forward to making travel bookings extremely convenient for new users, thus increasing the online travel bookings penetration, ”said Rajesh Magow, co-founder and CEO of MakeMyTrip.

Booking of bus services through Redbus is already live on and other travel services powered by MakeMyTrip will be in the coming months, according to the statement.

“Our partnership with MakeMyTrip will benefit millions of our customers, allowing them to choose from the best deals and services across the country, followed by the ease of use of Amazon Pay, making it easy to travel seamless.” Amazon Pay India CEO and Vice President Mahendra Nerurkar said.
